ABOUT

I am not part of the “Good ol’ boys club” and I do not make handshakes in backroom dealings. I take pride in following Missouri State Statutes and the constitution.

With over 15 years of dedicated service in county government, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as Saline County Assessor. Her background includes 4 years in the Saline County Clerk’s Office and 11 years in the Assessor’s Office.
I fell in love with architecture when I was a little girl. When other kids my age were playing with Cabbage Patch Dolls, I was assessing properties. Well, technically I was riding around Saline County in the back seat of a brown 4 door Ltd while my Grandmother, (Bonnie Lair, Saline County Mapper), and Assessor, Nelda Clemons, assessed properties.
My parents, (Amber & Wayne “Porky” Adcock), would tell you that I grew up in the Saline County Courthouse. (Literally.) Professionally, I’ve spent 16 years of my adult life working inside the courthouse so to me, it just feels like home.
My passion for architecture lead me to earn my degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology, specializing in architecture. Although I enjoyed a promising career in that field, working for Wallace Architects, (drafting house plans), my heart was always for public service.
The past 7+ years I've been honored to serve as your Assessor. Before that I was the Mapping Specialist, (like my grandmother), which prepared me in the complexities of my current role in countless ways. With my collective experience in the assessor’s office, clerk’s office, and working with other officeholders within the courthouse, you can feel comfortable knowing that you are voting for the person with the most experience and education for the job.
